Places to Meet and Eat

Here's a list of places to meet for breakfast and lunch in the greater Waltham/128 area.

The more interesting places are:

• Ye Olde Cottage (Weston, MA) This is your basic classic diner located right in Weston Center. It's the kind of place where you can order breakfast without needing a menu. The word's out though, and the 'Cottage is getting a little crowded.

• Wilson's Diner (Waltham, MA). A classic diner in a classic diner structure. Located on the east side of Waltham, right on main street.

• Mel's Commonwealth Cafe (Wayland, MA) Mel's is located right on Route 30.

• Helen's Cafe (Concord, MA) Located right on Concord center, this used to be Brigham's Cafe. Some open Wifi access points are visible, especially if you sit near the front.

• Mario's (Lexington, MA) Italian, lunch only. You gotta love a place that sells a "bucket 'o spaghetti".

The "usual" venture capital meeting places that I like to avoid are:

• The Westin (Waltham, MA)

• The Doubletree Guest Suites (Waltham, MA)

• Newton Marriott (Newton, MA)
